Talk To Me: An Original Linkup

Hello, Dearies! (yes, it seems I'll be using the OUAT reference greeting; excuse me if you must)

Thanks to Carly over at Books and Etc., I'm creating a new linkup, called Talk To Me! Something like Beautiful People, Snippets of Story, and Chatterbox.

Like said linkups, this will be monthly. On the first day of each month, I'll create a post with a new linkup, which will be open until midnight of the last night of that month (e.g. this month's is open until August 1st at 12:00am).

So what exactly is this "Talk To Me" linkup I'm talking about? Well, I'm glad you asked. You simply let one of your characters post to your blog. (Perhaps even create their own blogger profile and make them a blog author like I have; but that's optional.) The point is to get to know your characters better by seeing what they have to say. Here's an example of a Talk To Me post. (That's the post that inspired the linkup.)

Also like Chatterbox, I'll be giving you a category each month. Since I've already written mine for July (though I hadn't yet gotten the idea of a linkup at that time), I'll stick with a category it fits into.

And so, without further ado, this month's category is...

Confessions/Flaws

To participate, simply create your post and then add your link below. (Please be sure to link to your post, not your entire blog.) Preferably, your entry title will look like this: Name @ Blog Title (e.g. mine is: Jessy @ Barefoot in the Snow).

Thank you and enjoy!

  1. This is such a great idea! I'm not a fiction writer, but if I were, I would totally participate. I wish you the best of luck with this - I hope you get lots of great participants. :)

    1. Hi Kendra! I see one of your characters already has an entire blog of her own. That's so cool!

Have fun with the linkup! I'm excited to see what your character(s) come up with, especially after reading some bits of your blogs :)

    2. Mm, yes, I gave Clara her own blog some time back so she could review classics for me ... but I have a terrible time keeping up with it. I really need to finish the two I have in drafts.

I have some pretty opinionated characters, so I'll see which one wants to talk about it.

    1. My favorite posts are when characters write them. My friend has done that several times, and I loved it. Which is why I had Alex post... and then Carly and I commented on it and it ended up a linkup.

Have fun with it! If you do write a post, I'll be looking forward to reading it :)
