Talk To Me

Hi everyone. This is Alex.

Jessy has written a few times about how I don't talk to her. Well... last night, I did.

This is a post about myself. I don't usually talk much and I'm not sure what to say, so I'll do my best.

First, I'm going to get my flaw out of the way. That's right, I told her my flaw. She wasn't sure whether to post it or not, for fear of embarrassing me, which is why I'm telling you. That way, she won't have to worry about it.

My flaw is cowardice. I'm a coward. She never thought me one, which is why it took so long for me to tell her. I didn't want to disappoint her. But it's true. I know, because of what happened with Ken. But I'm not going to post about that right now.

Actually, that's all I wanted to say. If you want to ask me a question, leave a comment and I'll do my best to answer you.

(that's the name I'll be posting under)

  1. Jessy,

This is an awesome idea! Can I do this with my characters, too, if it is okay with you?

    1. Yes, of course! After all, what good is an awesome idea if it can't be imitated? (In the blogging world, at least.) I'm glad you think so! And I'd be thrilled to see what your characters have to say.

    2. Actually, you've given me an idea: What if I were to turn this into a monthly linkup? You know, like Beautiful People and Snippets of Story and Chatterbox. What do you think?

    3. That would be so cool! I'd love to do it if you were to create a linkup. I think it would be a fun thing to do and would help other writers find out more about their characters. You should create a linkup.

    4. Then, I believe I shall! I'm writing a post right now, but I'll create the linkup as soon as I'm finished. Or maybe I'll do the linkup first...

I'll leave a comment here when I've published it :)

  2. Hey Jessy! No problem - here is my original comment again. So glad you got the button to work! :-)

Hi Jessy! I'm so glad you came by my blog - it's so lovely to "meet" new people, and I'm awfully glad you found the "Warrior Princess" post encouraging! Of course you are absolutely welcome to link to it on your sidebar - I'm very flattered, actually! :-D :-D :-D

If you would like to use my graphic, what you can do is right-click on the image on my sidebar and select "Save Image As ...". Save it to your desktop, then you can upload it in a widget and link to my post the same way you did with the image you have now. Try it and let me know if it works!

Thank you again for dropping by! I'm so glad to have "met" you, and I look forward to perusing your blog and getting to know you better! :-)

    Love in Christ,

    1. Thanks! Weird request, perhaps, but thank you for humoring me :)

Yes, I believe I did a facepalm when you said to save the picture and do it that way! lol

I'm also glad to have "met" you! I very much enjoyed reading your pages and some of your posts. I love you blog! I also love seeing bloggers like you, unashamed of our faith.

Thanks again for visiting and commenting!

      In Christ,
      Jessy

    1. Yes, of course! It's rather frustrating at times. Certain characters more than others. Sometimes I wish they'd shut up (well, I never really want them to, but don't tell them that!) Other times, I wish they'd say something (like when I'm trying to get writing done). Jess, I must say, is the worst. He talks all the time, but when it comes to writing, he won't say a thing. Usually. Though, he's been saying more lately. I love him, though, just as much as the rest of my characters. Funny how that works.

Of course, there's those times when they're the best characters ever and they're giving you exactly what you want when you want it. Not that that happens too often.

It's a lot of fun, but sometimes *I* wonder if I'm going crazy. Then I get on Blogger (or talk to my real-life writing friend) and... Nope, nevermind, I'm not crazy. I'm a writer.

"No, you're a writeress. Didn't we already go over this?"

      Oh, shut up, Jess.

      "He's right."

      I know, Alex, I know.
